Empire-style Coffee Tables

I custom-designed a matched set of two living room tables to reflect the influence of the Empire style, one large and rectangular with a thick glass pane in the center, and one small, square and with a solid wood top. They were made from Jarrah, a eucalyptus that grows in Australia. The tables were constructed exclusively with mortise and tennon joints. A 2mm-wide brass inlay was inserted and a high gloss French polish was applied.
