New Library in 19th Century English Style
I custom designed this library to be reminiscent of a 19th
century English style. Built from scratch
from massive walnut, it had to meet stringent space
requirements that included accommodating the flow of air
conditioning from vents in the wall behind the unit. Hand made brass
mesh was imported from the United States. Door handles were made
from the same wood and gold leaf was applied
to them and to the frames using the traditional water gilding
process. Brass hinges and screws were used,
and French polish topped it off for a fine finish. |
