French Vitrine

This 19th Century reproduction of a French-style vitrine (glass -paneled cabinet) was retouched to reproduce its original sheen and beauty. Gold leaf was not used in the original manufacturing, so acrylic gold paint was used in an extremely laborious process involving many hours of precise brush painting of the leaves. A beeswax finish was applied.
